Mark Van De Veer

I was raised in Olathe, Kansas, watching the city grow from less than 8,000 people to over 80,000 people. In 1983, I graduated from the University of Kansas with a dual bachelor´s degree in accounting and business administration.

Beginning my career in the medical industry selling durable medical equipment, I started my own business in medical sales with a partner when we moved to North Texas. I had a business of preparing tax returns for the 7 years prior to joining the staff at Murray & Mensch, P.C. as senior staff in January 2005.

My wife and I met at church in Kansas. We moved to Plano in 1994, purchasing a home in McKinney in 1996. We have enjoyed watching McKinney grow and love the mixture of the old downtown and the new communities being built.

We have three children, two daughters and a son, and 2 delightful grandsons. My hobbies include spending time with my family, chess, Bible study, and camping.
